Colored points indicate nodes (sOTUs) and lines indicate edges (positive or negative correlations). Nodes (sOTUs) are color-coded based on bacterial phylum or class (in the case of Proteobacteria). Square-shaped nodes represent common core sOTUs (90%). In the Haddadus binotatus network, the common core sOTU classified as Alphaproteobacteria and shown at the top left of the network (marked with a black star) ranked highest in betweenness centrality. Edge lengths are a function of layout and are not biologically meaningful
